Faster Sweepstakes Entry: Enter Sweepstakes in Half the Time

Typing entry forms by hand takes a lot of time (and leaves you vulnerable to making typos in your haste). To cut the time it takes to fill each form, use an autofill program like Roboform.

Roboform is a preferred tool of many sweepstakes fans. It stores your entry information so that you can fill out most entry forms with a single click.

Autofill programs keep you from having to type so much, reduce the risk of making a typo that could prevent you from receiving win notifications, and makes sweepstakes entry so much quicker and more enjoyable.

Roboform isn't the only autofill program available. LastPass and AutoFill Forms are popular alternatives. If you use a Mac computer, you might want to try 1Password.

Close Other Programs on Your Computer

Like many of us, your computer tries to multitask, but it doesn't always manage it well, especially if you are planning on opening many sweepstakes tabs or windows at a time (see below).

Sweepstakes will load faster if your computer is not slowed down by other programs, so close any unnecessary windows on your computer, leaving only your internet browser open (if possible).

The less time you spend waiting for pages to load, the more time you will spend entering giveaways. Plus, you'll be able to concentrate on your entries if you aren't distracted.

Have Your Sweepstakes Ready to Enter

If you want to enter sweepstakes fast, you can't waste a lot of time looking for new sweeps during your precious entry time. You should have a list of sweepstakes that you want to enter every day waiting for you.

You can use one of The Balance's sweepstakes lists, such as the Daily Sweepstakes list or the list of sweepstakes with Lots of Prizes. Alternately, you can use a daily sweepstakes routine to reduce the time it takes you to check out new sweepstakes and make sure you aren't missing any of the ones ending soon.

Open Multiple Sweepstakes Windows at Once

Rather than opening one sweepstakes website at a time, try opening about 10 sweepstakes pages at once so that they can start loading. You can then start with the ones that load the fastest, filling out and submitting their entry forms.

By the time you've worked through the fastest-loading giveaways, other pages have finished loading, and you can enter them, too.

This strategy cuts down on your waiting time, giving you as little downtime as possible during your sweepstakes entry time.

Look for "Can't See the Game" Links

Many instantwin sweepstakes will let you play a game like spinning a wheel, sinking basketballs, or playing Memory, to find out if you're the winner. How you do in these games usually has nothing to do with whether you win or not.

Luckily, many of these games don't force you to play if you don't want to, and you can cut your entry time if you skip them. Be sure to look for a link that says something like, "Can't see the game?" or "Click here to skip."

Skipping the game will tell you immediately whether you have won or not, reducing wasted time.

Eliminate Problem Sweepstakes

Some sweepstakes will slow you down every time you try to enter them. Maybe they load very slowly, or they require you to fill out page after page of information to enter.

If your sweeping time is short, be ruthless about cutting these slowpokes from your daily sweepstakes list. If you could enter two or three other sweepstakes in the time it takes you to get through the slow one, it's better to say "see ya!" and move on.

If the prizes are really great, it could be worth the effort to enter, but otherwise, choose other sweepstakes which are faster to enter.
