Experience

Woody Franklin is a former writer for ThoughtCo who published dozens of articles about the sport of diving over the course of five years. He has coached for three decades and was the head coach at Colorado College and the University of Louisville. He holds coaching certifications from USA Diving and the AAU, is a FINA certified judge, and is an official for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association

As a member of the University of Louisville Sports Information staff, he worked with sports teams and served as a United States Olympic Committee intern and Media and Public Relations Manager for U.S. Cycling. He was also on the media relations staff of the United States Olympic Festival and the NCAA basketball tournament.

B.A., Economics; M.Ed. with a specialization in Sports Administration, both from the University of Louisville.
