Finding the perfect way to enhance our eyebrows can sometimes feel like it takes a lifetime to master. From waxing, plucking, threading, and everything in between, our eyebrows are one of the most important features to take care of on our face. Not only is it important to know the right eyebrow shape for you, it's equally important to know how to maintain brows so they appear polished and perfect.

So much goes into creating the perfect brow shape, and knowing where to start and the best products to use are ideal when making sure yours meet all the right standards. Here are my 3 simple tips on how to instantly lift your eyebrows each day in seconds, for an eye-raising result every time:

1. Frame Brows With Concealer: One of the quickest ways to give an instant lift to eyebrows is to frame them with concealer. This gives an automatic highlight and is a great way to enhance the shape of your brows, especially if you are someone who wears little to no makeup. Literally use concealer to trace around the eyebrows, and blend with your foundation brush or makeup sponge. This adds highlight in all the right places, while helping sustain shape. A great trick when you want to wear little to no makeup at all, it will help you appear awake and rested in seconds.

2. Subtly Fill The Arch: Brows look best when they are as natural as possible. Adding an instant lift is easily do-able by softly filling in your arch, giving it more definition or simply making the arch slightly higher. An overly drawn arch can ruin the entire shape of the eyebrow and also be really obvious, it's best practice to  use a pencil or powder that has a very natural finish, so the end result is clean and soft.

Lightly fill in the arch and brush brows in an upward motion with a brow brush.

3. Avoid Too Much Shimmer: Using highlighting products and applying them right under the brow is perfect for a soft touch of illumination, but how much is too much when it comes to highlighting your brows? Using an illuminating shadow or liquid highlighter under the arch is a perfect way to add highlight, without looking overdone. You want to avoid heavily frosted eyeshadows for highlights, simply because this can make the brow look stark and not natural, drawing attention the shadow itself and not your perfectly shaped brows. Stick to soft ivory colors or champagne tones of eyeshadow under the brow that give a barely there finish but highlight just enough for what you're looking to accomplish.

Makeup Artist Tip: For more mature skin types, avoiding heavy shimmer is key when it comes to having eye makeup and eyebrows blend perfectly together. Opt for a matte highlighting shadow, or use your concealer to highlight, instead of shimmery shadows that can often tend to exaggerate fine lines. This will brighten the face and brow, without enhancing wrinkles.

If you feel entirely lost when it comes to eyebrows, you aren't alone!  This trend certainly took off in the 90's and for some, the hair or shape never grew back entirely. Avoid over-plucking eyebrows with tweezers, to ensure that your brows stay thick enough to give you great definition. When you over-pluck, the brow hair can slowly start to not grow back over time, giving you less hair to work with. One of the best things you can do is work with an esthetician or someone who grooms brows professionally on a consistent basis. Having them touch up your brows every two to three weeks is normally ideal, they will help guide you to what the best brow shape is for you along with making sure they are perfectly groomed each and every time.
