Warren Truitt is a former writer for ThoughtCo who wrote about music for kids over a period of three years. Truitt has been a musician and performed with several bands, taught 4th Grade, was a children's librarian for almost 15 years, and is currently in the Human Development and Family Studies doctoral program at Auburn University.

Truitt has covered children's music since 2005, writing for the School Library Journal, Chicago Parent, and several smaller zines, blogs, and news agencies in New York, Chicago, and Alabama.

Along with teaching as a primary school music instructor, Warren Truitt is also currently enrolled in Auburn University's doctoral program fora Ph. D. in Human Development and Family Studies.
