Individuals on active duty are automatically covered. Premiums vary, depending on which plan you choose. Availability and Cost Share TDP serves military personnel and their dependents.in two distinct service areas: CONUS and OCONUS. The CONUS region consists of all 50 United States, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The OCONUS geographical area covers the rest of the world. The program covers a wide range of dental services. Diagnostic and preventative services are fully covered without cost share. The cost shares differ for these two regions and for pay grades E-1 to E-4 and E-5 and above. Services that may incur a cost share include root canals, gum surgery, oral surgery, extractions, crowns, dentures, orthodontics, and braces. How To Enroll Before you're eligible to enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program you must be enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). If you're already enrolled in DEERS the next step is to determine which plan is best for you and your family. Visit the Beneficiary Web Enrollment Website (BEW) to update your information in DEERS and find details about the current options for TRICARE plans, including TRICARE Dental Program. Once logged in, you will be able to choose the Dental tab to enroll in a dental plan. The choices available include sponsor-only, single premium (one family member not including the sponsor), family premium, and sponsor and family premium. If you’d like to enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program, the first thing you have to do is decide how to pay your premiums. You can choose between EFT (automatic deduction from your checking or savings account), military payroll payment, and debit/credit card. If you opt for EFT or debit/credit, it’s important to make sure the payments are actually happening. If you close your account or your card expires and you don’t update your info with TDP, your coverage will be canceled. After you've made that decision you can enroll online and pay via credit card. Or, you can fill out and mail in the enrollment form along with your payment. If you decide to mail your enrollment form, the document for active duty families is located online and the form for National Guard and Reserve is found on the site as well. After you've filled out the form, mail it along with your payment to: United Concordia/TDPPO Box 827583Philadelphia, PA 19182-7583 The TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) has been administered by United Concordia since February 1, 2017.
