The Tundra Dually was introduced at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in 2007 and demonstrates what could happen if Toyota decided to outfit a truck with a diesel engine and driveline from a Hino commercial truck. 01 of 06 Front/Side View Toyota About the Tundra Diesel Dually CrewMax Tundra with a 6.5-foot bed on a lengthened frame 8.0L diesel from a 35,000 pound Hino work truck Eaton 5-speed manual transmission Hino rear differential Toyota Motorsports also modified the truck's bed, adding large external fenders to accommodate the dual rear wheels. A Reese fifth-wheel hitch adds to the Tundra's heavy-duty capabilities. The truck looks rugged from the outside, but step inside and you'll find the Tundra is built for comfort. Ginger colored leather captain's chairs are installed in front and back, and the back seats are outfitted with individual DVD systems. Navigation gets you where you want to go, and a Kenwood sound system keeps you awake on long drives. Ginger leather is repeated on the shift knob and wrapped steering wheel. A massive Magnaflow exhaust system carries diesel fumes away from the engine.
