A typical Valentine’s date includes going out to dinner at a romantic restaurant. But, depending on where you live or how out you are, you may not be comfortable going out with your lover to a restaurant full of straight couples. Here are some alternative ideas for how to enjoy a special Valentine’s Day with your sweetie. 01 of 10 Plan a Picnic Hero Images/Getty Images The weather outside may be frightful, but don’t let that stop you. Either dress warmly and light candles in the snow or bring the picnic indoors. Set up in front of the fireplace or feed her by candlelight. Pick up a few of her favorite dishes at the local deli.
