John Mayer has stated that he wrote "Your Body Is a Wonderland" about his first girlfriend that he dated when he was 14. He originally called the song "Strawberry Wonderland."

It was released as the second single from the album Room For Squares. "Your Body Is a Wonderland" earned John Mayer a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal. It reached the top 20 on the US singles chart and climbed to #3 at adult pop radio.
