Vanessa Hudgens emerged as a teen star after her starring role in High School Musical. Disney moved quickly to capitalize on the film's success by launching Vanessa Hudgens as a pop artist. "Come Back To Me" is built around a sample from the band Player's #1 hit "Baby Come Back" from the 1970s. Rock Mafia co-wrote and produced the song. "Come Back To Me" was a successful pop hit in Europe but ultimately stalled at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album V was a top 25 chart hit and earned a gold certification for sales. Vanessa Hudgens' follow up album Identified was released in 2008.

9. Corbin Bleu - "Push It To the Limit" (2006)

Corbin Bleu broke into the upper reaches of Disney Channel stardom through his role in the wildly successful High School Musical film series. He used the platform to launch a career as a pop musician. "Push It To the Limit" was included on the soundtrack to the Disney Channel film Jump In! which starred Corbin Bleu. It is an upbeat, inspirational, R&B influenced anthem. With a top 5 opening on the digital sales chart, "Push It To the Limit" reached #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. He followed the single with four more that reached the Pop 100 chart within the next three years. Corbin Bleu's 2007 debut album Another Side broke into the top 40 of the album chart.

8. Zendaya - "Replay" (2013)

Zendaya Coleman performs under her first name only. She became a Disney TV star through her role in the series Shake It Up. Zendaya released her debut pop single "Swag It Out" in 2011. The follow up "Replay" became a pop and dance hit. It broke into the top 20 at mainstream pop radio and went all the way to #3 on the dance chart. "Replay" earned a platinum certification for sales. Zendaya's self-titled debut album was released in September 2013 and hit #51 on the album chart.

7. Jonas Brothers - "Burnin' Up" (2008)

The Jonas Brothers were at the peak of their commercial prowess when they released "Burnin' Up" as the lead single from their album A Little Bit Longer. The group toned down the energy just a bit for a slicker, more radio friendly sound. The result was a single that debuted at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and ultimately sold over two million digital copies. The Jonas Brothers went their separate ways in 2013 while reportedly at work on a fifth studio album. The trio hit #1 with two studio albums and have sold more than 17 million albums worldwide. Two of their singles reached the top 10 in the US.

6. Hilary Duff - "Wake Up" (2005)

Hilary Duff, star of the Disney TV series Lizzie McGuire needed a new single for her compilation album Most Wanted in 2005. She headed to the studio with the production team Dead Executives headed by her boyfriend Joel Madden and his brother Benji Madden, both from the band Good Charlotte. The result was a rousing teen pop anthem. "Wake Up" entered the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 and become one of Hilary Duff's three biggest pop hits. Hilary Duff returned to the pop music world in 2014 following a long absence. Her single "Chasing the Sun" broke into the Billboard Hot 100 and the album Breathe In. Breath Out. reached the top 5 in 2015.

5. Jesse McCartney - "Beautiful Soul" (2004)

Jesse McCartney was already an accomplished TV actor for his role in the soap opera All My Children before he started making appearances on the Disney Channel. He signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records and spent two years crafting the Beautiful Soul album. The lead single, also titled "Beautiful Soul," has been included on a range of Disney soundtracks. Peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100, the song also became a hit across adult pop and adult contemporary radio formats. Jesse McCartney's third studio album Departure released in 2008 included his top 10 pop smash "Leavin'." He has reached the pop top 40 with five singles.

Demi Lovato first became a Disney TV star with her appearance in the 2008 TV movie Camp Rock. Her 2008 debut album Don't Forget reached #2 on the album chart. It was the first of five consecutive top 5 charting studio albums. She has reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 with three singles including the 2013 smash "Heart Attack" from the album Demi. It hit #4 at mainstream pop radio and soared to #1 on the dance chart. "Heart Attack" has sold more than two million copies and won a Teen Choice Award for Female Choice Single.

Selena Gomez and her band The Scene were the most consistently commercially successful of all Disney pop artists. They released three consecutive top 10 gold certified albums. Those generated four top 30 pop hit singles. "Love You Like a Love Song" is one of the most durable of the group's hits having spent five months on the charts. It was also the group's fourth #1 dance hit. In 2013 Selena Gomez embarked on a solo career with the album Stars Dance. It included her first top 10 pop hit single "Come & Get It." With her next studio album Revival, Selena Gomez left the Disney family of labels for Interscope.

2. Aly & AJ - "Potential Breakup Song" (2007)

The sister duo Aly & AJ delivered a true teen electropop classic with "Potential Breakup Song." Antonina Armato and Tim James, founders of Rock Mafia, co-wrote and co-produced "Potential Breakup Song." It was released as the lead single from the duo's second album Insomniatic. Peaking inside the top 20 at pop radio, "Potential Breakup Song" was certified platinum for sales and became one of the most commercially successful of all Disney pop hits. Aly & AJ changed their act's name to 78violet in 2009 and released the 2013 single "Hothouse." They have since announced plans to return to recording under the name Aly & AJ.

After a wildly successful triple platinum Hannah Montana soundtrack album, it was unclear whether 14-year-old Miley Cyrus would be embraced as a pop artist in her own right under her own name. Hollywood Records released a two disc collection to introduce Miley Cyrus the recording artist. The first disc was another Hannah Montana soundtrack and the second was music released under her own name. "See You Again," a Rock Mafia confection, was released as the single to introduce Miley Cyrus to pop radio. With its peppy, retro 80's dance-pop fell, "See You Again" powered its way into the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and everyone soon knew the name Miley Cyrus. She recorded two more studio albums for the Disney family including four more top 10 pop smash hits before leaving for RCA and her 2013 album Bangerz.
