Get the ingredients from your refrigerator and cupboard

There's no need to buy store-bought face masks when you can make your own awesome homemade ones with just a few ingredients -- some of which you likely already have in your refrigerator and cabinets.

In my Homemade Face Mask Recipes Hub, I share recipes formulated especially for oily, dry and acne-prone skin. The recipes in this slideshow work well on all skin types, no matter if you have oily skin, combination skin, dry skin or sensitive skin.

White Sugar Scrub for All Skin Types

Sugar is a preferred exfoliant to salt because it tends not to tear at the skin. When dead skin collects on the surface of skin, it's important to slough it away. Use oil instead of water if you have dry skin.

Skin Brightening Turmeric Face Mask

This wonderful turmeric face mask will brighten skin, leaving skin looking glowy. The key to the glow is in the turmeric powder (women have used this as a skin brightener for decades), and you can create the mask with lemon juice and yogurt if your skin tends to be oily, or olive or almond oil if it's on the drier side. Warning: Turmeric powder will stain. If you have darker skin, you may not notice the stain, but fair skinned people will. The stain does wear off after a few hours.
