There comes a time when every single person wonders if they find love, and that's probably why such an odd crop of dating sites have popped up on the internet the past few years. Everyone, no matter what their peccadilloes, deserves to find someone special. But there are strange dating sites - you know, the ones for gluten-free folks or pet-lovers - and then there are the really weird, and this list attempts to cover each and every one of them.

Can Do Better

Can Do Better

Can Do Better wants you to know if you're full of yourself in thinking you're better off coupled up, or if you "can do better" outside of your current relationship. Based solely on physical attraction, users vote and let you know whether or not you should stick together, find someone new, or perhaps even connect with them. Interestingly, of the pages I saw, most were at 50% as to whether folks thought they could do better.

Fat Bastard Dating

Fat Bastard Dating

Yes, this really exists - in the UK. "The fatter you are, the better as far as the members on this site are concerned. Girls like a guy who has got presence and men love a cuddly lass". While I love the body-positive imagery here, I just can't imagine anyone really, truly wanting to tell their friends they met at Fat Bastard Dating. Am I missing something?

Ninja Passions

Ninja Passions

"Ninja's need love too!" Well, yes they do. Lucky them, there's basically a site for any sort of fetish, interest, or uh, passion that you can think of with this free dating site network. Others niche dating sites include mullets, mimes, asexuals, truckers, roboticists, and werewolves.

Gene Partner

Gene Partner

If you're questioning whether or not s/he's The One, you can always send in a DNA sample to Gene Partner, and for $249 USD, they'll let you know if you're "genetically compatible".

The Atlasphere

The Atlasphere LLC

This is probably the least "weird" dating site on this list, which is saying quite a bit. Still, it struck me as an extreme niche - are there really that many single, Ayn Rand lovers out there? It seems there are at least a few thousand, althought interestingly most of the men are over 45, and the women 35+.

Dead Meet

Dead Meet

I'd imagine that working in the business of death isn't as glamorous as, say, Dead Like Me or Six Feet Under. Try sharing on a first date that you beautify corpses for a living, or perform autopsies? Dead Meet tries to make the process easier by helping folks who work in the industry, connect.

Meet At the Airport

Well, I give them kudos for the self-explanatory website title. While I can understand the interest in meeting a stranger at an airport bar for a drink and perhaps some romance, surely you'd want to ask me my current airport code, and not where I live, when I sign up?

Sister Wives

Sister Wives

Even with the cotton candy colors and sweet-as-pie religious overtones, you'll quickly notice there's a certain... feel... to Sister Wives, and it's a bit concerning. Almost every single posting (which you can scroll down to see in live-time) informs other members on the site how judgemental, superficial and just plain wrong they are. Uh...

Ghost Singles

Ghost Singles

C'mon, you dated that guy in high school that always seemed to disappear when it came time to pay the check, right? Ghost Singles tries to help those who have dated ghosts, and who want to continue -- but really, the site is all about the whispies, how they died, and where to meet each other. Try to sign up as a living person, and you'll quickly be kicked out for the living, breathing human that you are.

What's Your Price?

What's Your Price

I'm ending this crazy series with the craziest of them all - and I still can't believe this kind of dating site exists. In a nutshell? Men "bid" on women, make an offer, and the ladies decide. What's Your Price?
