These teen idols gone bad grab more headlines these days for their antics rather than their accomplishments. 01 of 08 Justin Bieber Photo © Getty Images Where to begin with the now-tarnished squeaky clean image of Justin Bieber? He's spoken out about rape and offended women about his remarks, faced baby mama drama, abandoned a monkey, urinated into a mop bucket and sprayed Bill Clinton's photo with cleaning fluid while shouting profanities. All of this before his 20th birthday. Like a little boy begging for attention, Bieber will continue to make headlines for his bad behavior. 02 of 08 Miley Cyrus Photo © Getty Images Her Disney days as Hannah Montana began when she was just 13 years old. Miley Cyrus quickly became a teen idol with lots of tweens and teens wanting to be just like her. But after four years on Disney, she was itching to shed her bubble gum queen status. While she was trying to take on more adult movie roles to show everyone she was growing up, it was her pole-dancing performance at the Teen Choice Awards in 2009 at the age of 16 that could easily be called her first step toward celebrity role model gone bad. She continues to top herself with raunchy twerking performances that would make Lady Gaga blush, half-nude magazine cover shoots and trying to explain why she prefers marijuana over alcohol. 03 of 08 Lindsay Lohan Photo © Getty Images Lindsay Lohan is another Disney darling gone bad. She got her big break at the age of 10 and starred in her first Disney movie at 11. That's when kids began to take notice of her. After the movie Mean Girls came out, Lohan was a household name. Her downward spiral began a couple of months before her 21st birthday when she was arrested and charged for driving under the influence and possession of cocaine. She's since been in and out of the courtoom, jail and rehab and seems to be spending more of her spotlight time getting arrested than actually acting. 04 of 08 Amanda Bynes Photo © Getty Images The red flags were raised for former Nickelodeon star of All That The Amanda Show in 2012 when she was arrested for two driving under the influence charges and again in 2013 when she was arrested in her home for several charges, including possession of marijuana. In the summer of 2013, Amanda Bynes was put under psychiatric care after setting a small fire in a stranger's driveway. The psychiatric hold was only supposed to last 72 hours but then turned into 30 days with doctors urging a longer term stay in the facility. 05 of 08 Demi Lovato Photo © Getty Images She got her start as an actress on Barney & Friends Camp Rock that tweens and teens began to idolize her. Things started to crack for Lovato publicly when, at the age of 18, she left the Jonas Brothers Live in Concert tour and checked into a treatment facility. Lovato later said she was using drugs and alcohol, fighting bulimia and cutting herself to cope. 06 of 08 Kristen Stewart Photo © Getty Images It seems like Kristen Stewart came out of nowhere with her role as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga Twilight years. Her image seemed as clean as Bella Swan's until pictures surfaced of her with married director Rupert Sanders from the movie they were working on together at the time. She admitted to the affair, cheating on her boyfriend Robert Pattinson and has to live with the title of "home wrecker" since Sanders and his wife are now divorced. 07 of 08 Robin Thicke Photo © Getty Images He seemed to have the vanilla-type image his dad Alan of Growing Pains fame had. But Robin Thicke experienced some growing pains of his own when he released the song "Blurred Lines." The lyrics are too racy to be printed here and the song has been banned several places around the world. But Thicke made the controversy even worse when asked about it in an interview with GQ magazine. "What a pleasure it is to degrade a woman," he answered. It certainly didn't help his cause to have Miley Cyrus twerking on stage with him during the 2013 VMAs. 08 of 08 Britney Spears Photo © Getty Images This former Mouseketeer is no Annette Funicello. Britney Spears got her start at Disney but soared onto the scene with the release of her song Baby One More Time at the age of 16. Girls wanted to be her. Guys wanted to date her. All seemed to be going well for the pop star until she surprised everyone with a 55-hour marriage to her high school friend. Things got worse for her in 2007 when she suddenly checked herself in and out of treatment facilities, shaved her head, attacked a car with an umbrella and lost custody of her kids to ex-husband Kevin Federline. She later sunk to a new low when she kissed Madonna in a provocative performance at the Video Music Awards.
