Star Wars Battlefront 2 Campaign: Single-Player Cheats and Walkthrough

Your complete guide to Iden Versio's epic adventure

Star Wars Battlefront II is a popular video game that came out in late-2019 that features a wide variety of multiplayer game modes containing locations, characters, and ships from all three main eras of the Star Wars movie franchise. But does Battlefront II have a campaign? You bet!

In addition to the Battlefront II single-player Arcade and Co-Op modes, the video game also boasts a rather solid campaign that can be played purely offline. This Star Wars Battlefront II story mode contains several hours of playtime, a host of hidden items to discover, and a variety of Star Wars locations that can only be explored within the campaign.

The following Star Wars Battlefront II video game cheats apply to the 2017 version released on PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. This is a completely different game than 2005's similarly titled Star Wars: Battlefront II.

When Is the Star Wars Battlefront II Campaign Set?

The single-player story mode in Star Wars Battlefront II takes place in official Star Wars canon and begins at the end of Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi and covers the years leading up to Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

The first part of the Battlefront II campaign is referred to within the game’s menu as Main Story while the second, much smaller part, is called Resurrection. Iden Versio is the main character in the campaign, however, the player is occasionally given the opportunity to play as Luke, Leia, Lando, Han, and Kylo Ren.

The chapters where you play as Luke, Leia, Lando, Han, and Kylo Ren have no hidden secrets or unlockables so you don’t need to worry about replaying them to find anything.

Two official Star Wars novels were released which expand upon the characters and storyline in the campaign. The first book, Inferno Squad, is set before events in the game while the second, Resistance Reborn, takes place afterwards and also works as a prequel to Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars Battlefront II Campaign Gameplay Tips

Iden Versio's controls in the story more are nearly identical to how she plays in Battlefront II’s multiplayer modes so most players who have used as her in Heroes Versus Villains or Galactic Assault shouldn’t be too challenged in using her here.

There are some differences that fans should look out for though:

  • No dodge-roll. While Iden can quickly roll out of the way in multiplayer, she can’t do so in the campaign which means that you’ll need to focus more on stealth than shooting and running away.
  • New weapons. Iden’s available weapons and skills change fairly regularly in the campaign. They also work pretty differently than her skills in multiplayer.
  • No taunts. As fun as Iden’s iconic “Avenge our emperor!!” emote is in multiplayer, she can’t yell it out here.
  • More babysitting. You can’t just run around all of the maps in the campaign and do what you want as you’re often assigned a target to protect.

Battlefront II Campaign and Resurrection Story Modes

Some advice for playing the Star Wars Battlefront II Campaign and Resurrection story modes:

  • Choose stealth over action. Running head-first into a fight will get you killed very quickly in the campaign. These Stormtroopers have good aim and are also armed with explosives. Use your droid, ID10, to take them out from a distance.
  • Explore. A lot of the locations in the campaign can only be played in the campaign so take your time to explore every nook and cranny. Even some of the maps from the multiplayer modes look a bit different.
  • Swap your weapons. You’re given the chance to change your abilities and weapons frequently throughout the game so you should experiment to find the right combination for your play style. Do you want more health and a shield or do you prefer a rocket launcher and grenades? The choice is yours so don’t stick with the default.

What Levels in Battlefront II’s Campaign Have Hidden Items?

The main campaign, Campaign, has 12 chapters and a prologue while the second campaign, Resurrection, has only three. Chapters can be replayed at any time once they’re completed so you don’t need to stress about finding everything during your first playthrough.

Once you find a hidden collectible, it remains unlocked so you don’t have to find it again every time you replay.

Of the 16 playable campaign chapters, only seven have hidden collectibles. They are as follows:

  • Prologue: The Cleaner
  • Mission 1: The Battle of Endor
  • Mission 2: The Dauntless
  • Mission 4: The Storm
  • Mission 8: Under Covered Skies
  • Mission 10: The Battle of Jakku
  • Mission 11: Until Ashes

There are 23 hidden collectibles in total in the Star Wars Battlefront II story mode.

Xbox Achievements are connected to the hidden collectibles in the campaign on Xbox One. Trophies are similarly connected to the on PlayStation 4. If you want to 100% complete Star Wars Battlefront II on either, you'll need to track down all of these collectibles.
