Experience

Nicole Schuman is a former Social Media Editor for ThoughtCo, acting in that role for close to two years. Nicole came to ThoughtCo from AOL where she led social media efforts for the This Built America series. TBA told 50 stories in each of the 50 states regarding the resurgence of American manufacturing.  

Matthew Knell is the former VP of Social Media for ThoughtCo. He has a long history of designing, developing, and marketing a wide array of successful digital media strategies and products for AOL, JetBlue Airways, Viacom, and CafeMom. He also teaches Social Media and Web Marketing at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.  He was the Head of Social Customer Experience and Community for Samsung Electronic America and is currently the Director of Customer Experience for Moment. ​

Education

Nicole holds a master's degree in English and American studies from the University of Buffalo, and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Saint Bonaventure University. Matthew Knell has a bachelor's degree in information systems from Pace University’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems and serves as a Tech Mentor in Residence there.
