In order for your skin to look its best you need to use a variety of skin care products on a daily basis.  Using just one skin care product will not solve complex skin issues like acne or hyperpigmentation (dark spots); you need a number of products in order to meet all your skin care needs.  Did you know that certain skin care ingredients should never be used at the same time because they can actually cancel each other out or hurt your skin instead of help it?

There's An Exfoliant In Your Fridge

Sometimes you don't need to look far in order to find an effective skin care ingredient.  Lactic acid is a gentle yet effective skin care ingredient that even people with sensitive skin can use without irritation.  Dairy products contain lactic acid so the next time you are looking to easily and cheaply exfoliate your skin get the milk out of your fridge.  Dunk a washcloth in a bowl of whole milk and then put the washcloth on your face for 5 to 10 minutes.  Rinse off any milk that remains on your face with lukewarm water.  Your face will feel soft, smooth, and your skin will be hydrated as well.

Your Hands and Neck Tell Everyone How Old You Really Are

According to esthetician Joanna Czech good skin care starts at the nipples and ends at the hairline, and we'll add to that that you should never forget your hands as well.  So many people concentrate on only caring for the skin on their face that they forget to treat their neck, chest, and hands.  For this reason if you want to determine just how old someone really is don't look at their face - look at their neck or hands instead.  It's time to give as much attention and care to the rest of our skin as we do to the skin on our faces.  Make sure you apply sunscreen daily to your neck and hands just as you would your face.  Reapply sunscreen to those areas throughout the day.  This is easy to do when it comes to your hands since there are many great hand creams that have SPF in them like Jergens SPF 20 BB Hand Perfecting Cream.  When it comes to your neck think of it was an extension of your face.  Whichever products you use on your face you need to use on your neck as well - exfoliate, moisturize, and protect your neck from the sun just as you would your face.

Exfoliation is the key to healthy skin.  If you skip this crucial skin care step your skin will look less than its best.  If you already know this important bit of skin care information than I am sure you have an exfoliant for your face and another one for your body which you use on a weekly basis (or more).  When you exfoliate your face you need to make sure that you get your chosen product on all areas of your face including your eyebrows.  Yes, eyebrows. According to celebrity eyebrow specialist Elke Von Freudenberg in order to have full brows you need to not only remove dead skin cells from that area of your face, but you also need to stimulate hair growth there by scrubbing your eyebrows.  Furthermore, when you promote circulation in your brows the faster your eyebrow hair will grow.

Planning on spending a lazy Sunday indoors?  Have the day off and you're going to use it to catch up on your favorite TV shows so think that you do not need sunscreen?  Even if you are spending an entire day inside you still need sunscreen.  UVA rays pass through glass. These sun rays are what cause skin aging and even a little bit of sunlight can lead to wrinkles, fine lines, and dark spots down the line.  So keep in mind that when you are planning on being inside all day you need to you use sunscreen or a moisturizer with SPF. Sunscreen is a skin care product that cannot be skipped no matter where you spend your day.
