Sean Patrick Dooley is a former writer for ThoughtCo who wrote multiple articles about country music artists, albums, and facts over the course of a little under two years. A guitarist and singer, Dooley first started performing professionally at 15 and has lived and played in Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, and Nashville. However, he eventually began writing about country music for radio and print in his early 30s.

Dooley went on to become the head writer and producer for two nationally-syndicated country music radio shows, "The Country Music Greats Radio Show," a weekly two-hour music and interview show, and "The Country Music Greats Radio Minute." Both shows were hosted by Grand Ole Opry legend, Jim Ed Brown, and were broadcast in over 300 markets to a weekly audience exceeding three million listeners.

He also went on to become the editor-in-chief and head writer for Pure Country magazine, the world’s largest classic country music magazine, and the Director of Social Media for Gibson Guitars. 

Education

Dooley earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from The University of Texas at Austin.
