Saad Fayed is a food writer and restaurateur specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine. He has lived in Egypt and Iraq and has traveled extensively in the Middle East. He began preparing Middle Eastern food as a small child, helping his grandmother. He then went on to work in his father's Middle Eastern restaurant at age 12. Saad co-owns a Middle Eastern delicatessen and store and continues to prepare Middle Eastern delicacies for his customers, friends, and family. He has published hundreds of recipes and food profiles.
He has extensive practical experience in Middle Eastern cooking for his restaurant and deli. He gained knowledge of Middle Eastern regional specialties through his travels.
