Richard Choueiri is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles about bodybuilding, training, and exercise routines for over three years. Richard also wrote about nutrition and competitive bodybuilding. His exercise writing appears in many publications including The San Francisco Chronicle, Physique Magazine, STACK Fitness, and He also wrote a health and fitness guidebook The Human Statue Workout (HumanStatue, 2011).

Richard began bodybuilding in 2004. He would later include mixed martial arts into his workout routines in 2006. Throughout the years Richard learned about nutrition and muscle mechanics. By 2014, he began to share his bodybuilding-related knowledge through his writing.

Richard is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)-certified personal trainer. He also holds the designation of a National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA)-certified mixed martial arts conditioning coach.


Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Nutritional Science with a double minor in Endocrine Physiology and Public Health from Rutgers State University and in the process of completing a medical degree.
