Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the classic 1998 survival horror video game of the same name. It was developed and published by Capcom in 2019. The remake is much more than just an HD remaster. While fans of the original will feel like they’re in familiar territory, they’ll be met with new puzzles, new enemies, and new secrets to discover. Our walkthrough covers how to unlock all extras and achieve the S+ rank in every scenario.

The following Resident Evil 2 cheats apply to the 2019 remake for PS4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.

How to See Every Ending in Resident Evil 2

There are four main scenarios in Resident Evil 2, each with their own unique ending. Like the original game, players initially have the option to play as Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield. Whichever character you choose, the puzzles and enemies you encounter are largely the same, but you meet different characters and use different weapons. Leon’s scenario is slightly more difficult because there are two additional boss fights.

Complete the game as either Claire or Leon to unlock an alternate scenario for the other character. In the B scenarios, some puzzle solutions are different, and you traverse certain locations in a different order. There's also a new end boss you must defeat to see the “true” ending.

How to Unlock Alternate Costumes

To switch costumes, press Options on your controller, then select Costumes from the menu. You unlock more costumes once you meet certain requirements:

Classic Police (Injured) for Leon	Finish any scenario on Hardcore difficulty.

Police Costume for Leon	Finish either of Leon's scenarios.
Tank Top Costume for Claire	Finish either of Claire's scenarios.
Ada With No Trench Coat	Equip Leon's alternate costume while playing as Ada.

You also unlock extra accessories as you complete the optional modes, and more costumes can be purchased as DLC.

How to Earn S and S+ Ranks

When you finish the game, you’re graded based on your performance. The highest rank you can get is S+, but the grading scale is different depending on how you play the game.

How to See Rebecca Chambers

While exploring the sewers in any of the main scenarios, you can find a roll of film in the upper-floor workroom. Backtrack to the police station darkroom to develop the film, which reveals a picture of a desk next to a flag.

Go to the S.T.A.R.S. office and inspect the suspicious desk to discover a wooden box. Examine it to reveal an upgrade for your weapon. Now, check the same drawer on the desk again to find yet another roll of film. Develop it to see a photo of Rebecca Chambers from the original Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero.
