Military families that are experiencing financial hardships have one less worry on their mind. Thanks to Operation Homefront's Back-to-School Brigade program, military kids in grades K-12 can receive free school supplies and backpacks.

Operation Homefront began the Back-to-School Brigade program in 2009 by distributing approximately 19,000 backpacks which resulted in an overall school-supply savings of $1.2 million for military families.

The wide variety of educational supplies consists of spiral notebooks, notebook paper, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, colored pencils, erasers, rulers, and calculators.
