Time to Shop

Asos

After the birth of our son, and second child, we were convinced our family was complete and decided against having any more children. With that in mind, I donated all of my maternity clothes and moved on. I am barely 12 weeks into my third pregnancy and already I am thinking, what will I wear now? Truth be told, this was very unexpected and I am yet to start showing, very different from my other two pregnancies at this stage but there is something to be said about how beautiful maternity wear has gotten that has me very excited this time around to style my bump. One of my favorite spots to shophas been Asos and their maternity section is a great one. While browsing around online, I found a few pieces I would love to have to start my own maternity wardrobe up again. Here are my favorite pieces that just came in!

The Classic Staple

Asos

I am a sucker for a crisp white shirt and although I know it is asking for trouble with two other little ones at home, I cannot help but want this piece in my closet. Honestly, it would just get some much use such as with a printed pencil skirt and wedges for work, leggings and a pair of sneakers on the weekend or even with ripped jeans and printed flats for one last girl's night out before my life really becomes hectic. Though it is one of the pricier pieces on my list at $155, I am sure I will wear this piece enough times to make up for the price tag.

The Work Dress

Asos

I started my career as a makeup artist and believe it or not, you can still find me on Saturdays doing make up for some of the most prestigious brands around Chicagoland if not working on a bridal party. But in keeping with tradition, as a makeup artist, we just wear black. In fact, a gorgeous little black dress that you would not mind spilling make up on, because -gasp- it happens. So when it comes to dresses I can wear to work, I like to keep it affordable and at only $33, this dress is not only stylish but perfect for my side gig.

The Cool Mom Jeans

Asos

During my second pregnancy, I lived in ripped boyfriend jeans. Even on the coldest winter day, I would layer them over leggings and head out. This time, I do not mind switching it up and going the skinny route. These ripped skinny jeans are perfect to wear with a blazer and heels, because yes I will still wear them, for coffee house meetings or with that classic white shirt I was drooling over.

The Everyday Dress

Asos

Okay so I really, really like black. It is sort of my thing even when I am not working. But this off the shoulder dress I can see getting many miles in based on comfort alone. Great to wear now during the warmer months with lace up flats and still wear later on in the fall with suede booties, this under $50 dress is a great buy.

The Everyday Shoe

Asos

This is not a maternity piece but every solid wardrobe needs an "IT" shoe. Right now, lace up flats are having a moment and a huge one at that. Not to mention that these snake print flats are neutral enough to wear with all the other pieces on my wish list and will get serious use throughout.
