The seventh installment of the Need for Speed series of racing games, Need for Speed: Underground, has cheat codes that unlock all vehicles, parts, and tracks. There are also exploits you can take advantage of to earn easy money and style points.

These cheats are exclusively for the PlayStation 2 version. There are separate cheats for Need for Speed: Underground on PC.

How to Earn Easy Drift Points

Turn off stability control for your vehicle to make drifting easier. When you come upon a sharp turn while tailgating another vehicle, release the throttle and turn into the curve.

Practice drifting on a figure-eight track to rack up style points.

How to Perform Donuts

To perform donuts, hold Gas + Brake + a directional button while drifting, then release the brake.

How to Flip Cars

Touch the bumper of the car in front of you while drifting, then hit the nitrous boost to flip the vehicle over.

How to Earn Easy Money

For quick cash in Underground mode:

  1. Upgrade the VW Golf to max out its performance as much as possible.

  2. Trade the VW Golf for a Nissan Skyline.

  3. Downgrade the Nissan Skyline to stock settings.

  4. Trade the Nissan Skyline for a VW Golf for a profit of $6,000.

    You can spend money you get in Underground mode in other modes.
