Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a street racing video game that first launched for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, iOS, Wii U, and Android in 2012. It's the nineteenth title in the long-running Need For Speed series. Players select a car they use to race against time or other players. As the game progresses, they drive faster cars in more intense situations. If you're looking to fast-track your way to victory, here are some cheats and tips that can help.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted PS2 Cheat Codes

Enter one of these cheat codes with your PS2 controller at the Start menu before pressing any other buttons. You'll receive a confirmation when they're activated.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted Unlockable Cars

After a brief prologue at the beginning of the game, you choose one of four cars: Chevrolet Cobalt SS, Fiat Punto, Lexus IS300, or Volkswagen Golf GTI. You gain access to most additional cars by completing a level of the game. But, some are hidden and can be unlocked during gameplay. Here's how:

Get Extra Money

Get extra money by selling car parts before selling the whole vehicle.

Reduce Wanted Level

To reduce your wanted level, visit a shop and spray your car until you reach the desired wanted level.

Move Through Cop Cars

If the cops are crowding your space, flip your car over to force it to auto-restart. When it does, you'll have a few moments as it spawns to drive right through things.

Slide for Bounty Points

Press O when cops are around to immediately turn around. They'll chase you and you'll get bounty points.

Avoid Wall Crashes

Press O if you're you're about to crash into a wall. Time—and your car—will slow down.

Remove Cops From Roadblocks

If you run into the back end of a cop car at a roadblock you can throw it to the side without affecting your speed.
