Since the original Mortal Kombat, cheat codes have been a defining feature of the popular fighting game franchise. Although Mortal Kombat 11 includes a helpful AI tutorial that teaches you how to perform fatalities, there are plenty of hidden codes, trophies, secret characters, and alternate endings to unlock.

These cheats apply to Mortal Kombat 11 on all platforms including PS4, Xbox One, Windows, and Switch, unless otherwise noted.

How to Perform Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 11

Each of the 25 playable characters has two fatalities, which makes for a grand total of 50 unique finishing moves. Fatalities can only be performed at the end of the final round. When you see "Finish Him/Her" on the screen, stand in the appropriate position and input the correct button sequence to execute your opponent.

The button combinations for default fatalities can be found in each character's Move List. From the main menu, go to Learn > Fatality Training to practice.

How to Perform Fatal Blows

Each character has a desperation attack they can execute once per match. When you're low on health, press both trigger buttons on your controller simultaneously. Fatal blows can be dodged or blocked like any other attack, but if you connect, you'll do brutal damage.

How to Give Mercy

Mortal Kombat 11 introduces a new finishing move called mercy. Mercy restores the opponent's health so the battle can continue.

If you perform a mercy, then a fatality, you'll get extra points for executing two finishing moves in one match.

  1. When you see "Finish Him/Her," stand mid range from your opponent and hold the Left Trigger on your controller.

    On PS4, press L2; Switch, press ZL; PC, press U.

  2. Press Down three times.

  3. Release the Left Trigger or the corresponding button/key on PS4, Switch, or PC.

How to Find Reptile in the Krypt in Mortal Kombat 11

You'll need two Skeleton Keys to do this.

  1. Go to Goro's Lair and use the first key on the locked door in the Dining Hall.

  2. After dodging some traps, you'll come across a locked empty cell. Use your other key to unlock the door, then use your Blindfold to reveal a weak wall.

  3. Break the wall and head into the cave.

  4. Interact with the statue to awaken Reptile. He will run away, and you will have to track him down.

    You can only see Reptile while wearing the blindfold.

  5. Once you find Reptile, defeat him to earn a green outfit for Scorpion and some Soul Fragments.

How to Unlock Frost

While Frost can purchased in the store from the beginning of the game, you'll unlock her once you finish Chapter 4 in Story Mode, so don't waste your money.

Mortal Kombat 11 Endings

There are three different endings to story mode:

Ending How to See It

Best Ending

 Win two rounds against Kronika in the Mesozoic jungle in Story Mode.
Good Ending Lose the first round against Kronika, then defeat her two rounds in a row.
Bad Ending Lose the match against Kronika.
