Molly has been a tech writer since 2004 with a focus on consumer electronics including digital cameras and smartphones. As an editor at PC Magazine, she edited hundreds of product reviews and features.
After leaving PCMag, she spearheaded ConsumerSearch's smartphone coverage strategy and managed its technology reviews. Now a freelancer, she runs a full-time editorial business, where she contributes to PCMag.com and other clients with reviews and commentary about mobile apps, software, GPS devices, dash cams, and more.
At Lifewire, Molly writes how-to about smartphones (mostly Android, but also iPhones) including the best apps to download, tips for getting better performance and battery life out of your electronics, and in-depth explainers about a variety of tech concepts.
She also consults for high profile tech companies about content strategy.
My Gear
I use a Windows 10 Lenovo laptop as my main machine, and it’s light enough (3 pounds) to travel with too. My primary phone is a Google Pixel XL that running Android 10. I also have a Samsung S9 running Android Pie by way of and Samsung UI and an iPhone 6 running iOS 11. (Gotta know all the mobile platforms.) To track my steps, I wear a Garmin VivoSport + GPS fitness band. I also used my Google Daydream VR headset to watch some 2018 Winter Olympics events.
Molly has B.A. in Latin American Studies from NYU and an M.S. in Journalism & Technical Writing from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn (now NYU Tandon Center for Engineering).
