Experience

For over a decade, Michelle taught film and media studies courses at colleges and universities, including Brown University, Fordham University, and Washington University in St. Louis.

A former educator, Michelle also worked in the publishing industry before pursuing freelance writing and editing and writing about student loans, budgeting and saving for college, and college financing for BestColleges.com.

Education

Michelle earned her MA and Ph.D. in Cinema Studies and a BA in dramatic writing and literature from New York University. She was a 2019 fellow of the Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Workshop.
