Mark Gittelman is a former writer for ThoughtCo and contributed work for two years. He has been involved in many frame-off restorations of classic cars. His first involved assisting his father with the complete resurrection of a 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk that had been in the family since it was purchased new. Gittelman applies his troubleshooting skills and draws from 30 years of hands-on automotive experience to overcome complex automotive problems. He enjoys providing assistance and finding solutions to difficult issues facing classic car enthusiasts during research, inspection, acquisition, and the critical phases of the restoration process. He completed a two-year General Motors-sponsored program in partnership with a Pontiac dealership. He has taken manufacturer-specific update classes from Ford and General Motors
He holds an associate's degree in Applied Science from Camden County College in New Jersey.
