Lukas Kaiser is a former ThoughtCo writer who contributed articles about humor and comedy for two and a half years. Lukas got his start working in the independent news and music businesses before moving on to create cartoons and articles for Jest in 2005. Since that time, he has produced commercials, jingles, written for popular humor websites, and worked on film projects throughout the industry.
Lukas' work appears on many websites and podcasts devoted to humor. These sites include CollegeHumor.com, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, and the Myka Fox and Friends and Doin' It with Mike Sacks... and Rob podcasts. He wrote comedy and advertisements for Comedy Central, Spike TV, BBH, and Mindshare World. Lukas was an assistant to the writer and production secretary Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show and an associate producer and music composer for This Filthy World (Cinemavault, 2006) and Exposing the Order of the Serpentine (Mindshare, 2006).
While studying at New York University, he was a founding member of that school's The Plague comedy sketch troupe. Lukas also served as executive editor of its humor publication, The Plague.
Lukas Kaiser earned a Bachelor Arts (B.A.) in English, American Literature, Journalism, and Mass Communications from New York University in 2004.
