Jone Johnson Lewis is a freelance writer specializing in women's history topics. She is an ordained Humanist minister and has taught on the topic of women in religious history as an adjunct faculty member at Meadville/Lombard Theological School. She has also been involved in the women's movement since the late 1960s.

Lewis has served as a faculty member of the Humanist Institute and as a training instructor and department director in the private sector. As a coach, she works with women and men who want to make a difference in the world.


Jone Lewis earned a B.A. from Mundelein College's Women in Business program. She received a Master of Divinity degree from Meadville/Lombard Theological School.
