Learn about our Editorial Process Updated on 01/13/20 Being a teacher is one of the most important jobs in our society. Each day, teachers mold young minds, turning them into the sort of critical thinkers who will one day rule the world. Yet in many ways, being a teacher is also one of the most thankless and tiresome ways that one can earn a living. Teachers have to deal with other people's kids as they traverse through childhood, puberty, and into young adulthood, all while barely making a livable wage. Thanks to the internet, we can now poke a little fun at the stuff that makes teaching such a tough job, especially the silly things students say and do to rankle their hardworking teachers throughout the school year. From turning in assignments late and then asking for extra credit to spending the entire class period in the bathroom with their friends, most teachers have seen it all. Luckily, these funny teacher memes exist to help us laugh our way through the more irritating parts of the job. 01 of 30 Uh Huh, Tell Me Another One Via Reddit Do they think we were born yesterday? 02 of 30 Just Phoning It In Via theeducatorsroom.com There's something about those last few weeks of school that makes teachers fall flat. 03 of 30 They No Longer Give a Hoot Via Imgur Can confirm. 04 of 30 A Ringing Endorsement Via Imgur It's almost like dealing with kids all day actually sucks the life out of you. 05 of 30 Cat Herding Experience Preferred Via Pleated-Jeans When the "spoon full of sugar" doesn't work, we have to tame the beast with our herding techniques. 06 of 30 Kevin Hart Knows What's Up Via weareteachers.com "Well, well, well, look who's finally paying attention." 07 of 30 Teachers in Poorly Funded Schools Via Reddit This meme's for you.
