Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Value Guide The books and resources from Bangzoom Publishers have, overall, been of consistently impressive quality. There are clear pictures and easy-to-read text. Additionally, the paper quality, which may not be noticed by most readers, is also top-notch. This book boasts over 7,500 full-color pictures, each large enough to see the detail. Thirty-five pictures are on each page of the book, arranged first yearly, then in alphabetical order. If you don't know the year of the ornament, there's an alphabetical index in the back, complete with checkboxes, just in case you want to keep track of what's in your collection. The book covers much more than just the Keepsake ornaments. Other sections include Tree Toppers, Merry Miniatures, Miniature Ornaments, the Ambassador Holiday House Collection, Hall Family Ornaments (attached to their annual family Christmas card), Kiddie Car Classics, Legends in Flight, and Mayor's Tree Ornaments. At the beginning of the book is a lengthy chapter—Hallmark Collecting 101, which gives the ins and outs of Hallmark collecting. A terrific primer for beginning collectors, but also useful for longtime collectors. Another enjoyable section was profiles of a few Hallmark collectors. Readers will love hearing how others collect and the stories help make this book a fun read!
