Just like the original Half-Life and Half-Life 2, Half-Life: Counter-Strike has cheat codes that allow you to use any weapon, get free money, and control time. You can bind cheat commands to hotkeys for faster and more efficient cheating.

These cheats are only available for the PC version of Half-Life: Counter-Strike. We also have a complete list of cheats for the newer Counter Strike: Condition Zero, too.

How to Enter Half-Life: Counter-Strike Cheat Codes on PC

To enable cheats, press the tilde (~) key while playing to open the cheat console, type sv_cheats 1, and press Enter. Then, enter the codes below.

Half-Life: Counter-Strike Cheat Codes

Some cheats require a modifier such as a quantity or an additional ID code. Special codes for weapons and skins are listed separately.

Cheats can be used in multiplayer battles, but cheats must be entered from the host server.

Half-Life: Counter-Strike Skin Codes

Use the following skin names with skin code.

These cheats work only when enabled on the server machine, which is rarely the case. You may also have issues with newer versions of the game.

How to Bind Keys to Cheats

To make using cheat codes easier, bind cheats to keys. For example, to bind the free money code to the X key, enter the following into the cheat console: 

bind x "impulse 101"

You can now get $16,000 at any time by pressing the X key.

To unbind the X key, enter the command unbind X or unbindall.

Silent AWP Shots

To silence your AWP or sniper rifle shots, enter the following into the console: 

bind mouse1 "+attack; impulse 100"

If you try this with a full-auto weapon, chances are you will be killed as the weapon might jam and stop shooting.

Temporary Invincibility

You can achieve temporary invincibility by binding the command "setinfo model ../oranget" to a key. For example: 

bind X "setinfo model ../oranget"

With the above command, keep pressing the X key to remain invincible.

Temporary SAS Appearance as Terrorist

Temporarily change your appearance by binding the command "setinfo model sas" to a key. For example: 

bind X "setinfo model sas"

With the above command, your whole body changes into the UK SAS suit when you press X.

Half-Life: Counter-Strike Gore Code

The see splattered blood and bones as you kill enemies, bind the command "impulse 102" to a key and keep pressing it to see the trail of carnage.

Sniping With the AK47

Aim the crosshair in the middle of the enemy and shoot the bullets two by two. When the crosshair becomes large, run and reload. The target should be dead after you shoot the first two bullets.
