European Tour Rookie of the Year Award Winners

The European Tour's award for top rookie is named the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award. Henry Cotton was an English golfer, a 3-time British Open winner.

Cotton began handing out his Rookie of the Year award before the European Tour was even established, and the tour continued the award after coming into existence. That makes the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award one of the oldest awards in European golf. Today, the award winner is selected jointly by the European Tour, the Association of Golf Writers and the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
