Learn about our Editorial Process Updated on 04/08/20 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is an open-world role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and released in 2006. The fourth installment of the wildly popular action-fantasy series features a vast world filled with secrets. While the PlayStation 3 version doesn't support all of the cheats for the PC version, there are glitches players can exploit to duplicate items, get infinite health, and level up quickly. We'll show you how. These cheats are for the PS3 version of Oblivion. There are also cheats for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on Xbox 360, and there are additional cheat codes for the PC version. How to Duplicate Items You need multiple magic scrolls of the same type to exploit this glitch. The scrolls must not be stolen, so if you stole them, sell them and buy them back. You also need a greater number of scrolls than the item you want to duplicate. The item must have no damage, and magical items must be fully charged for the trick to work. Once you collect all of that: Select the scrolls twice. Drop the item you want to duplicate from your inventory. Exit the inventory screen and pick up your loot. You should now have the same quantity of the item as the scrolls you selected. For example, if you have 200 scrolls, you should have 200 duplicates. Sell them to gain as much gold as you need. The glitch doesn't work 100% of the time, so try again if the first attempt is unsuccessful. Some weapons and armor cannot be duplicated. How to Get Infinite Health Duplicate strong health potions and assign them to a button on the controller. That way, you can always max out your health in a pitch. Use the same trick to recharge your magic items by duplicating Soul Gems. How to Level Up Fast Go to Leyawin and begin the "Whom Gods Annoy" quest. As you progress, you're given the Daedric staff and instructed to take it somewhere. Instead, hold onto it and go to an open area with no enemies. The Daedric staff summons Everscamps, which you can defeat to earn experience. They're easy to kill, so it's possible to level up your stats quickly. Gain as many levels as you can before taking the staff to its destination. How Enemy and Item Level Progression Works The types of enemies you encounter in Oblivion get stronger as you level up. If you're struggling against monsters during a quest, there's no use in trying to get stronger than them by leveling up because they get stronger with you. The same is true of the types of items you have access to. As a general rule, armor and weapons won't appear at traders until you are at least two levels above them. How to Improve the Sneak Skill Quickly Find a sleeping NPC in a location where there are few or no other people around. Stand on the opposite side of the wall to their room and run against it while sneaking. Your skill will increase until the person wakes up. Wait until the next night for them to fall asleep and do it again. How to Cure Vampirism If you become a vampire in Oblivion and want to reverse it, talk to the mage at Arcane University. He tells you about a man in Skingrad. Find the man and follow his orders to eventually be cured of your condition. How to Get the Shadowmere After finishing the Dark Brotherhood quest "The Purification," kill an innocent person and go to sleep. Undertake more Dark Brotherhood quests to unlock the Shadowmere, a very strong, fast horse. The demonic horse even helps you in battle. If he's killed, he soon gets back up and continues following you. If you get separated, head to Fort Farragut to be reunited. How to Get the Unicorn The Unicorn resides in Harcane's Grove to the northeast of Inn of III Omen. It's guarded by Minotaurs, so your goal is to mount the Unicorn without the Minotaurs spotting you. Follow the coast of the upper Niben River southwest from Fort Variela to sneak up on the Unicorn. If the Minotaurs see you, don't fight them, or the Unicorn turns against you. Just mount the creature as fast as you can and trot away. Although the Unicorn is fast and immune to most damage, he can't be tamed or captured. If you dismount, he walks back to Harcane Grove.
