Her grandfather John Barrymore, star of the 20s and 30s died in 1942. Her grandmother, Dolores Costello was a silent movie star. Her mom is Actress Ildiko Jad and her dad is John Barrymore, Jr., known as actor John Drew. Drew's first acting gig was at 11 months in a TV commercial. She appeared in two movies before her big break in the 1982 blockbuster hit E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Like many Hollywood child stars, Drew had her problems. As she revealed in her book Little Girl Lost that she started drinking at age 9, smoking pot at 10 and snorting cocaine at 12. Drew admits that she loved cocaine and was known as Hollywood's youngest alcoholic. She entered rehab at 13. Drew Barrymore has appeared in more than 30 movies.
