Desert Hills Premium Outlets is by far the most impressive outlet mall that I have ever visited.

- Impressive List of Outlet Stores

The list of outlet stores at the center reads like a who’s who of the designer fashion industry. Luxury brands include Alexander McQueen, Armani, Canali, Cole Haan, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Gucci, Helmut Lang, Jimmy Choo, Loro Piana, Montblanc, Saint Laurent Paris, Tory Burch, Sandro, Valentino, Versace and many more.

Shoppers looking for popular outlet stores such as American Eagle, Ann Taylor, bebe, Diesel, ecco, Gap, J.Crew and True Religion should be very satisfied with the massive list of outlet stores in this category.

For those who like department stores, the outlet mall is anchored by Neiman Marcus Last Call and Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH.

- Getting Around
Desert Hills Premium Outlets is an outside shopping mall that has two sections - the East Village (Entrance 1 and Entrance 2) and the West  Village (Entrance 3 and Entrance 4). Both villages also have an information center,  food courts (referred to as Cafes), ATM machines, baby strollers, complimentary wheelchairs, free trolly services located at all entrances of the center and several (very clean) restrooms.

The East Village is the larger of the two areas, with several of the name-brand outlet stores located there. Shoppers parking at the center's parking garage will exit into the East Village. Also, there are electric vehicle charging stations located next to the garage.

The West Village is designed with a double-wide sidewalk that runs from one end of the village to the other,  with stores lining both sides of the walkway. This section houses Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH and Neiman Marcus Last Call, which is located at the end of the village. The Mall Office is also located in the East Village.

- Ambiance
Desert Hills Premium Outlets has completed several major improvements to the center. Taking into consideration that the outlet mall sits in the middle of the desert, the center can be extremely hot during warm seasons. To offset this, the design team added a substantial amount of greenery with new flower beds and oversized planters located throughout the center. There are also impressive sky-high palm trees and modern water features that seem to cool things off a bit.

However, my favorite design features are ​the mid-century-styled bishop crook lampposts that illuminate the walking areas. All of this, along with the newly painted stores' exteriors in popular Arizona colors and clay tile roofing throughout turned Desert Hills Premium Outlets into a shopping oasis.

- Prices
Most of the merchandise that was not on clearance racks ran an average of 27 percent off the retail prices. The clearance merchandise went up as high as 75 percent in several mid-range stores.
