Deborah White is a journalist and writer specializing in progressive political issues and perspectives. White has been politically active since her undergraduate years at UCLA. For several decades, she acted as a community activist holding leadership positions on community nonprofit boards and churches.
White is an active member of the Progressive, Labor, and Women's caucuses of the California Democratic Party. She is a three-time delegate to the California Democratic Party and attends the California Democratic State Conventions. White served as a federal elections official in California and assisted the Nevada Democratic Party in its 2008 presidential caucus.
Before committing to journalism and writing full-time, White enjoyed a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for over 20 years. During this time, she worked with Arthur Andersen and Company for a decade. Her background also includes teaching courses at three public universities.
White earned an MBA from California State University. She holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Nonfiction Writing from the University of California.
