David Gonos

David Gonos was a writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles on fantasy sports for over two years. He is a professional fantasy sports writer who has played fantasy sports since 1989 and written about the topic since 2000. Currently, he writes columns for the Athlon Sports Fantasy Football Preview Guides and The Athletic, and co-hosts the "Fantasy On 5" podcast. 

David worked as a senior fantasy writer for CBSSports.com for five years, predominately covering fantasy baseball but also writing about fantasy football, basketball, hockey and racing. He worked for SportsIllustrated.com for nearly three years and as a columnist for FanDuel.com, as well as stints at various fantasy sites including RotoExperts.com and the now shuttered Open Sports. During his roughly two-decade career, his writing has been published on major sites, including MLB.com, NFL.com, FoxSports.com and USAToday.com.

David started his own fantasy sports site, DavidGonos.com, in 2012, followed by SoCalledFantasyExperts.com in 2015. And he wrote the e-book, "101 Fantasy Football Tips," in 2014.

Education

David attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, earning an associates degree in journalism.
