Dave White is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles about rock music for nine years. His first job—a teenage radio DJ in 1966—launched a career that included five years at WKLO, one of the few AM stations offering album cuts from bands such as Cream, Pink Floyd, and Deep Purple, and interviews with artists such as Janis Joplin and Eddie Money.
As a freelance music journalist, Dave has covered the Bonnaroo Music Festival and interviewed artists such as Steve Winwood, Ray Manzarek of The Doors, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Donovan, and Todd Rundgren. His career path eventually led him to music television, where he coordinated production of music "infotainment" shows for a Nashville-based production company.
Dave studied at the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University.
