Dating the Gemini Man

What's He Like?

The Gemini man is restless and easily bored, so come with many ideas and be open to spontaneity.

Gemini man is mercurial, and the short exchanges of texts and emails make him feel caught up in a real social whirl. There he is at the bar, checking his iPhone for messages, but eyes darting around taking in the scene.

He's always alert for messages, being Mercury-ruled, which gives him a distracted look at times.

The frantic busyness of life today suits his nature, and he likes to be in motion. For first dates, check out a few places, and different modes of transport -- walk, bike, taxi, train. A richly varied night is preferred to staying put in one intimate spot.

The divided attention of the Gemini man is unnerving if you're wanting to catch his eye. It helps if you too are multi-directional. If you're wanting something substantial to develop, give it time. You'll know later whether you're flying through his orbit or if there's enough love glue to keep him by your side.

Man of the World

Consider that his mission is to cast a wide net, absorbing info from everywhere, and synthesize it into new forms. This is his unique magic. Say things to pique his curiosity. Throw out interesting factoids that connect to your passion.

He's drawn to people that have a healthy interest in life and other people. He'll want to know who you're connected to, and what they're like. If you can see the humor in work or family interactions, and spin a tale, this could be entertaining.

"What's new?" That's on the mind of the Gemini man. He'll be stimulated by what's mind-expanding -- a film festival, dot connecting, trends in culture. He gets antsy around those with fixed ideas -- it's claustrophobic for him.

He enjoys scrambling ideas and spontaneously offering a new translation. He's an idea mixologist. So to sustain his interest, feed his mind with your own wit, observations, short tales. I say short because many Gemini's have the need for speed, and don't like getting bogged down in a convoluted analysis.

The Dark Side of Gemini is that erratic attention span, and many are tightly wound. Gemini-style depression sometimes involves anxiety or being strung out.

Does his Gemini personality make him untrustworthy? Not necessarily, but he could seem inconsistent -- and this makes it hard to know where you stand. He is one person today, and another tomorrow.

Whether he's the man for you depends on your own needs and his maturity. Those with a lot of mutable energies of their own -- Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces -- could find the stability in the rhythm of constant change.

Many Geminis are nervous and have a high-strung temperament. Since we live in anxious times already, the Gemini man could find it nearly impossible to fully wind down. If you sense there's potential for intimacy, look for ways to soothe his nerves, with calming foods and culture that uplifts.

You might be a calming influence, or you could be just as wired. Look into creating a mood to go deeper, and settle for the moment. It could help to have dinner at home, instead of going out to a busy restaurant, for example. It takes time and patience in some cases to win the heart of a Gemini man

The Moon and other planets offer big clues, to the man behind the personable mask.

Moods: Dark and Light

The Gemini man can be calculating, and seemingly cut off from his emotions at times. In a funk, his thoughts are dark. If he's in a cruel state-of-mind, and you're in his sight lines, watch out.

It's harder for emotionally sensitive types to deal with his erratic moods. Water signs can find it exhausting and earth signs unsettling. That's why when it comes to the four elements, the Gemini man clicks with fire signs and other air signs best.
