Courtney K. Taylor, Ph.D., is a mathematician and statistics writer. He has taught mathematics at the college level since 2002.

Taylor is currently a professor of mathematics and chair of the Mathematics Department at Anderson University, where he also leads the university's research experience projects in mathematics. One of his research projects involves using statistics to determine the shape of real-world high-dimensional data sets.

He authored An Introduction to Abstract Algebra, an open-access e-book.


Taylor received his B.A. in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from Anderson University. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Purdue University.
