No doubt based on that success, LEGO made the smart move to take the style and humor of those games to Cartoon Network for a series of Star Wars cartoons. Revenge of the Brick (2005) is a five-minute animated short that spoofs . Mainly the cartoon shows the battle above and on the ground of Kashyyk. Mark Hamill, the original Luke Skywalker, co-directed. The Quest for R2-D2 (2009) is an animated short that follows R2 as he jettisons down to Tattoine during a Clone Wars battle. Just as Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress are about to dismantle him, Anakin and Ahsoka arrive to save the droid. Bombad County (2010) is another animated short that parodies the first three Star Wars films. This cartoon mainly stars Jar Jar Binks and Boba Fett. We find out what they were up to when the main characters were busy fighting the war. The Padawan Menace (2011) was the first full-episode special that aired on Cartoon Network. In this episode, Yoda is taking his Padawans on a field trip, when one of them makes off with his ship. Plus, C-3PO and R2-D2 are left babysitting, but find they aren't up to the task. The Empire Strikes Out (2012) takes place just after the Death Star explodes. Luke has a secret mission to Naboo that is thwarted by throngs of fans. Meanwhile, Darth Vader has to prove himself to the Emperor while competing with Darth Maul. The Yoda Chronicles included three different cartoon specials: "The Phantom Clone," "Menace of the Sith" and "Attack of the Jedi." First, Yoda and his Padawans must fight to stop the creation of a super-weapon. But when they fail, Darth Sidious uses his new Sith clone's powers for evil. Finally, JEK discovers he might want to fight for the good guys. Which side will he choose? Cartoon Network Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu follows the training and adventures of Kai, Jay, Zane, and Cole. Sensei Wu must guide these ninjas not only in their martial arts training, but also in life's lessons. Nya, Kai's sister, isn't a ninja, but she fights using her flaming daggers. She also has an alter ego, Samurai X. The first season finds the four ninjas fighting Dark Lord Garmadon. They are also obsessed with a prophecy that says one ninja will rise above the others to become the Green Ninja, who is destined to defeat Garmadon. When Garmadon's son, Lloyd, is kidnapped by the snakes, Sensei Wu instructs them to save him. At the end of the season, everyone is surprised when the identity of the Green Ninja is revealed. Season two finds Lloyd in training with Sensei Wu. This time all five ninjas must defeat Garmadon, who has created a golden Super-Weapon. They must also defeat the Overlord, who infects people with darkness. During the course of the second season, we find out who will become the next spinjitzu master. Season three premiered January 29, 2014, with Lloyd as the Golden Ninja protecting Nijago City. The Ninjas are called back into action as the spirit of the defeated Overlord has infected the electric grid of Ninjago and is using all available technology to exact his revenge on Lloyd, the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master. Nowhere is safe for the ninjas as they are hunted by the Digital Overlord’s evil robotic army, the Nindroids. The only chance for the the ninjas to survive is to learn the secrets of the Techno blades. The deep mythology and laugh-out-loud humor of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu make this cartoon a success for Cartoon Network. LEGO / Cartoon Network The Chima Kingdom that was once a pure and natural paradise has transformed into a land of unrest. Best friends, Laval the Lion and Cragger the Crocodile, have turned into enemies. In the forests, vehicles are charging at each other in epic duels. Animal tribes are fighting over the possession of the super-powerful natural energy-source called Chi – which is the source of life and has the potential for unimaginable destruction. This Cartoon Network series is absolutely gorgeous, with deep greens and soft golds, but the writing is deplorable. Cartoon Network / LEGO Mixels is a new series of cartoon shorts by LEGO, premiering on Cartoon Network on February 12, 2014. Mixels is centered around a world of colorful creatures who can mix and combine with each other, much like the video game. The characters fall into three different categories, or tribes, based on a personality trait. The Infernites live in the magma wastelands near the planet's core. They are kind of heroic, kind of bumbling, and really handy for a barbecue. Vulk, Zorch and Flain are Infernites. Cragsters are miners who live in the many tunnels and caverns they have dug deep under the surface of the world. They smash, they dig, and they're great to have around unless you have lots of fine china. Krader, Seismo and Shuff are Cragsters. The Electroids live high up in the mountainous forest to stay to stay close to the lightning storms that energize them. Teslo, Zaptor and Volectro are Electroids. These three tribes are the first wave of characters being released by LEGO. Two more waves are expected. 06 of 07 LEGO DC Comics: Batman: Be-Leaguered LEGO Batman. Cartoon Network / Warner Bros. Cartoon Network aired LEGO DC Comics: Batman: Be-Leaguered as a special during the week of Halloween 2014. Loner Batman is busy cleaning up the streets of Gotham when Superman interrupts to plead with him to join the Justice League. Batman flatly refuses. As Superman flies away, disappointed, he is overcome with a strange energy, and disappears! Now Batman must work with members of the JL to find the Man of Steel. He teams up with The Flash and their search leads them to evil Captain Cold, who is busy stealing an ancient artifact in Egypt. After their epic battle, The Flash vanishes, too! Now Batman has to turn to Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg (other members of the Justice League) for help. But one by one they also disappear. It's up to Batman to rescue the very team he rejected.
