Success generally spells a bank full of cash, flashy car, and closet stocked full of only the most stylish and seasonal clothing. But for some famous faces, forgoing the lavish uniform of designer duds isn't just their way of biting their thumb at the conventional; it's also the very reason they became successful in the first place. These icons are pros at replacing fashion products for productivity and maximum efficiency. Check out some of the stars who make a good case for wearing the same thing every day.

Steve Jobs

The Apple founder was just as famous for his revolutionary ideas as he was for his repetitive outfit, which always consisted of a black mock turtle neck, blue jeans and New Balance sneakers. In fact, Jobs was so in favor of a streamlined work wardrobe that he even tried to implement a uniform policy at Apple, however, few employees agreed with the idea.

Mark Zuckerberg

Just like Steve Jobs, the more recent Silicon Valley wonder kid, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, also sticks to wearing the same thing every day: a gray t-shirt occasionally offset by a black hoodie. During a Q&A session at one of Facebook’s town hall meetings, he even addressed the strict selection, claiming, “I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve the community.”

Angelina Jolie

On the red carpet you can usually find Angelina Jolie decked out in some of the most luxurious gowns the runway has to offer (albeit, usually in black), but in her everyday life, Ange has embraced a more capsule clothing collection. While touring as a U.N.H.C.R. goodwill ambassador she usually sticks to black, white, navy, and grey — which travel more easily — and is frequently spotted in her standard slim pants, ballerinas, and a loose blouse.

Christopher Nolan

While many directors favor the baseball hat/t-shirt/khakis look we often associate with the film industry, "Interstellar" director Christopher Nolan is a lot more buttoned-up in his appearance, always choosing to wear a sharp black blazer. “I went to a boarding school where we had to wear a uniform, and I got used to using all the pockets in my jacket,” he told DGA. “It’s just what I’m comfortable in. I don’t like to think about what to wear, so I just wear the same thing every day. When I first started shooting with a crew on "Memento" I remember trying to pick up a sandbag and everyone was shouting at me that I wasn’t allowed to do that because there were specific people for that job. As much as I’d like to be able to get my hands dirty, I don’t usually get to do so. So I dress the way I would for a day at the office. It’s just easier that way."

Karl Lagerfeld

He may run one of the most illustrious fashion houses in the world, but that doesn’t mean that Karl Lagerfeld has to change his own outfits with the seasons. In fact, Lagerfeld often wears the same thing every day – black pant suits, white shirts and tie – but adds a slightly different accessory, like gloves or necklaces, for a touch of individuality.

Kelly Cutrone

People’s Revolution founder and high-flying power woman Kelly Cutrone is notorious for shunning the image-conscious attitude of the fashion industry in which she works, preferring to wear nothing but all-black every day. “I wear all black because I don’t like to dress up and I don’t like makeup,” she told ABCNews.com. “I’m not going to get my teeth capped or get hair extensions. I’m not going to have 11 surgeries like Heidi Montag. I’m just not.”

Simon Cowell’s complete closet is filled with what can be considered two lowly outfits: his casual tee-shirt and jeans combo, or else his slightly more formal black pant suit and white shirt (unbuttoned of course).

Michael Kors

Just like Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors' status as one of the world’s foremost fashion designers doesn’t mean he’s about to lead by example anytime soon. In fact, as Kors once told Seattle Times, “I wear the same thing every day. I always pack two black jackets, loads of black T-shirts, loads of white jeans. I feel a little fresh and glamorous and graphic.”
