Learn about our Editorial Process Updated on 11/20/19 There is so much to learn about entering contests and sweepstakes, so I've compiled some of my favorite sweepstakes books for you. These must-read sweepstakes books can help you win more sweepstakes, have a luckier life, get more motivated, or teach you the ins and outs of entering contests. Note that you can leave your own reviews of any of these books as well. Once you read them, just click through to the review and share your own opinions. 01 of 04 You Can't Win if You Don't Enter by Carolyn Wilman Courtesy of Amazon.com Carolyn Wilman's You Can't Win if You Don't Enter is a great primer for people who are getting started with sweepstakes and contests. If you're an experienced sweeper, there's a lot of good information for you, too, including interviews with various judging agencies. Note that I reviewed the US version, but there is also a version of You Can't Win if You Don't Enter that's targeted for Canadian contestors as well. 02 of 04 The Luck Factor - The Four Essential Principles by Richard Wiseman Courtesy of Amazon.com The Luck Factor - The Four Essential Principles is a scientific look at luck -- what it is, what it isn't, and how you can get more of it in your life. For anyone who is as dependent on luck as us sweepers, this is a fascinating read. For more information, read my The Luck Factor Review. 03 of 04 The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio by Terry Ryan Courtesy of Amazon.com The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio is a heartwarming, feel-good book that also happens to be chock full of tips on entering and winning contests. Author Terry Ryan writes about how her mother staves off poverty, deals with an alcoholic husband, and raises 10 children with a little help from her favorite hobby - entering contests. While you're caught up in the story, you might just get inspired to create some better contest entries yourself. For more information, read my Review of The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio. 04 of 04 The Secret by Rhonda Byrne Courtesy of Amazon.com The Secret is about changing your outlook to make yourself more successful at anything you do, from your career to entering sweepstakes. Some people love this book, others hate it, and I recommend taking it with a grain of salt. However, I do think it's really motivational in terms of thinking positively and entering lots of sweepstakes -- which are the keys to winning prizes. For more information, see my Review of The Secret.
