Black is a first-person shooter game developed by Criterion Games and released in 2005. It received favorable reviews at the time and was notable for its heavily stylized combat. You can unlock rewards by completing the game on the various difficulty settings. There's also a cheat code that unlocks a secret weapon. We'll show you how to use it.

These cheats are specifically for Black on the PlayStation 2, but some information may also apply to the Xbox version.

Black Unlockables for PS2

You can unlock new difficulty settings and some special weapons by completing the below objectives.

Unlockable How to Unlock
Black Ops difficulty setting Complete the game on the Hard difficulty setting.
M16A2 grenade launcher (available in all levels) Complete the game on the Black Ops difficulty setting.
Silver Weapons (unlimited ammo) Complete the game on either the Normal or Hard difficulty setting to unlock them for that difficulty level.
Unlimited ammo After you complete the last level, you receive unlimited ammo the next time you play a level using the same profile you beat the game with.

How to Unlock the BFG Gun for City Streets Level

Enter 5SQQ-5THA-ZFFV-7XEV as a profile name. Be sure to include the hyphens (-). If entered correctly, you get to make an alternate profile name, then you begin the first level with the M249 machine gun.
