Angela Mitchell is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles for four years. Angela specializes in writing about the performing arts, with topics such as how to use lighting, sound cues, and makeup; and technical applications for theater. Angela, herself, has been a performer, stage manager, and director. She has also written reviews of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. 

In addition to writing articles about theater, Angela has authored several plays, including The Betrayals of Women; her love of drama and fantasy has inspired other fictional works.

Through her own firm, Paranoid PR and Creative, Angela provides public relations services — including press releases, marketing, proofreading, editing, ghostwriting, and media pitches — for theaters, actors, and other artists. Her work as a publicist has earned a number of high-profile successes ranging from The Washington Post and Crain's to Chicken Chicken Soup for the Soul and Oprah.
