Aaron M. Green is a former writer for ThoughtCo, who contributed scholarly articles about various aspects of classical music for more than two years. Aaron's writing runs the gamut from analyzing the symphonic form and transcribing scores of the great operas, to examining the genius of Mozart and Beethoven. He also presents commentary about music history, such as the best Baroque and Medieval period composers and their impact on classical music.
A trained classical musician, himself, Aaron studied opera, as well the piano and violin. He has performed for more than a decade in both solo and ensemble settings. Aaron’s repertoire includes masterworks such as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Missa Solemnis, Berlioz’s Sara la Baigneuse, Handel’s Messiah, and Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine.
Aaron M. Green holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Music and Opera, from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, where he graduated with honors. He also studied Journalism at Columbia University under its National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) program.
