Aaron Bower is a former writer for ThoughtCo, who contributed articles about darts, rugby, and European football for more than six years. Aaron has extensive experience in the field of sports writing, with a particular passion for the sport of darts. Aaron began participating in youth darts tournaments at the age of 13. Between 2010 and 2018, he taught the game at universities throughout England. His work during these years is credited with expanding the fan-base of the game.

In total, Aaron has more than eight years of experience as a freelance sports writer for various sports media outlets. He writes about playing darts on personal blogging sites and for publications which include Inside Darts and UK Darts Magazine. His sports writing also appears in The Observer, The Guardian, and The Press Association. 

Aaron is a published author. He wrote Football's Ultimate Miscellany (DB Publishing, 2012), a revealing study of all things related to the European game of football, also known as soccer in some parts of the globe. 


Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom and attended the Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College, where he specialized in the fields of media and sport.
