2002 was a memorable year for WWE. The company was forced to change their name due to a lawsuit from the World Wildlife Fund. It was also the year where the company started their brand split where they created separate rosters for the RAW and SmackDown brands. Most importantly, Brock Lesnar, Batista, John Cena, and Randy Orton all made their televised debuts with the company in 2002.

  • Triple H won the Royal Rumble last, eliminating Kurt Angle

  • The APA won a 6 team turmoil match by last beating Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo

  • Brass Knuckles on a Pole Match for Intercontinental Title: Champion William Regal beat Edge
